Chapter 8 - Schober

I like the Turn Around Domestic Abuse campaign's typography design. Domestic abuse is a very serious issue, as well as a very heavy and loaded one, but it happens in people's every day lives and family environments. They were very clever by using a simple font, one that you might even find in a children's easy reading level book. It brings the issue down to earth, and breaks it down into one we can understand. By using such a simple font, it makes the solution seem that much simpler, as though there could be no other stance. Even the illustrations are simple, child like, and take out all the complexities from the issue.

This image does the same thing. The single word, Cadillac, says volumes about the brand through the typography. It is big, bright, shiny, and luxurious: everything the brand positions itself as. It's amazing how we can understand that without a sentence or a picture. Just one word.
