Bridget Pasapane Reading Resonse 1
Chapter 4::
I choose this image because I am a big fan of the language used and the use of comparisons. Fits like a glove works like a toaster oven... by comparing this boot to a glove and toaster oven the viewer gets a full range feel of what to expect when trying on the boot.
Additional image:: I found this and could not help but to post it. I think this is funny and accurate, with design there are so many ways to approach a project and while consistency is good in the quality of work, the process and style of design most definitely does not need to be consistent and is often times more interesting if it has a variety.
Chapter 3:: I chose this image because this chapter is all about creative thinking and i believe this just ultimately fits perfectly. The creative brief, using boxer briefs. I love it, its catchy, creative, and entertaining.. I believe creative thinking is stimulated by many things and every designer has a different method. This image motivates the viewer to think literal about a topic. Another example of this approach is at football games when a team is cheering for the defense, in the crowed you will see 2 posters being held by fans, one being a large D and the other is a picture of a fence. This creative way of thinking is a good strategy when brainstorming ideas.
Chapter 1:: This ad is appealing and sick because of the focus on the fall season and halloween. The pumpkin and ghost are visually appealing but i feel like this ad can be both deconstructive, integrative, and geometric. I like the slogan meaning this car will carve the road with skid marks and such.
Chapter 2:: I love the humor approach in this ad. the fact that cows are the ones painting this as if they want more people to go eat chicken instead of eating beef... too funny lovess it. The font is awesome and the color pallet is nice and clean. I am a big fan of this approach in advertising.
