Craft Hop-er - Social Media Campaign
My basic idea is a mobile application made for beer enthusiasts - craft especially. Craft Hop-er is a play on the word grasshopper (implying that the app makes it easy for one to "hop" around to different breweries and beer gardens) and hops are a very important ingredient in beer. I haven't quite figured out how the interface would work; however, I want users to be able to talk about and rate beer, schedule to visit beer gardens and factories, and be able to add beers to the database that aren't accounted for. For the logo I want to earth have a man running holding a hop cone, or a grass hopper sitting on one.

I like this idea a lot and think that is great for the city especially. You can incorporate bars too. There are a lot of bars that only have craft or unique beers that would be good to add to this. I like the name and think that you should have the grasshopper in the logo to tie in the name and the logo.
ReplyDeleteI really like this. It's kind of like foursquare or pinterest just with beer! I think you could add incentives for them to try different beers, or maybe offer discounts and partner with some venues to get people to try new places.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea, while you focus on breweries and beer gardens as bri said you can also incorporate like whole in the wall bars that brew their own beer, and possibly set up parties with them for everyone that has the app.
ReplyDeleteLove this, love beer! This can be taken very far and I feel it has a huge following from people who love beer, like going out, and people who love socializing. I think incentives are key and it also makes bars and breweries more likely to participate from a business standpoint.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't have much to add. I agree with the above suggestions and think pairing up with "hole in the wall" bars is perfect for this app and beer lovers. Having deals and parties is a great way to increase the campaigns' following and a fun way for its users to meet new people who have their same interests.
ReplyDeleteI'm really into this. You might want to incorporate a 'featured brew' page on the app or advertise 'tap takeovers' when a local brewery takes over a bar as a tasting event. That way people can preview that contents of the beer on the app before actually trying it at the event.
ReplyDeleteI think this idea is excellent!! A function for the beer gardens that could be useful is adding a map like Yelp. I also really like the 'featured beers' idea, possibly you could encourage users to participate by giving users points / stars when they comment, add beers, etc (also a bit like Yelp).
